Chastity Orange Trumpet Vine - 1 Gallon Pot
If you want hummingbirds to flock to your garden the Chastity Trumpet Vine is a plant that should be on or near the top of your hummingbird plants list. Developed at the Mountain Horticultural Crops Research Station, Mills River, NC, this new triploid cultivar is a sterile hybrid, meaning it won't spread by seed as many other Campsis do. Well, to be totally honest, according to the breeders it spreads 99.993% less. Blooming at a very young age, and over a longer period during the season, the showy 3-inch long bright orange trumpet-shaped flowers of Chastity form in clusters from June through October, which is sure to make your hummingbirds happy. What's really neat is watching how the hummingbirds will disappear inside the flower when feeding. A vigorous grower, the overall habit is looking more dense and compact than other species and the leaves are the largest and lushest of any we've grown. This spectacular flowering vine is perfect for growing on fences, pergolas, arches, poles and other structures its vines can cling to and twine around. Get all the details below!
