Peggy Martin Climbing Rose - 7 Gallon Pot
Surviving two weeks under water after Hurricane Katrina, it's no doubt 'Peggy Martin', a classic Southern Rose, is one of if not the toughest roses on the planet, but she's also one of the most floriferous. Stunning in bloom, which occurs from late spring all the way to mid fall, she produces LOADS of cute, fragrant double roses that open dark pink and fade to softer pink shades with white overtones. You'll also be happy to know she's thornless, which makes trimming much less painful if you want to train or control her size. She's both heat and cold tolerant thriving in USDA Zones 4 to 9. We've seen no serious problems with insects or disease. Just plant her in well-drained soil of average fertility and full to mostly sun for the heaviest flowering. Growing to 15 feet tall and 6 or so feet wide as a climber, Peggy Martin is excellent for growing on fences, trellises and large obelisks, up and over arches and pergolas, up poles or pillars, or to cover a garden shed or other small structure. You can also let her ramble and sprawl as a groundcover on slopes or in garden borders. A great rose in every way! Get all the details below
